Training Meister – Mastering Fun and Increasing Your Team Knowledge and Skills Webinar Three aims to increase the knowledge and training skills of both dog guardians and pet professionals. You will learn about the science behind the training as well as many of the skills needed to train a pet dog, with a big emphasis on enjoyment.  We firmly believe that all training should be fun but knowledge based.  We also believe in setting the learner up for success.  This applies both to our human learners and their canine buddies.

Learning Objectives for Apprentice Webinar Three

- Learn the mechanics of using a target stick

- Learn how to teach a hand target

- Learn how to add duration to a hand target

- Learn how to use a hand target to teach new behaviors

- Learn how to teach a stationary hand touch (Standing with stillness)

- Learn how to proof your new cue

- Understand the meaning and application of targeting.

- Understand the positive application of a hand target in real life situations.

- Understand D.R.A. and D.R.I. and why they aren’t always an appropriate response to what we consider to be an inappropriate behavior

- Know how, when and why to make use of a trick as an alternative or incompatible behavior


You will also learn the following 'tricks'/behaviors:

Spin

Crawl

and understand the application of these tricks in everyday life!

Louise is a passionate advocate of Force-Free Training.  She believes that everyone should know how to teach their dog using science based, rewards based, force-free training methods.
