PPG Launches Sponsored Membership Program

PPG has announced a new initiative designed to support and reward 10 of its long-standing, loyal members with a 12-month sponsored PPG membership. In addition, PPG will invite 10 representative organizations from the worldwide shelter and rescue community to apply for a sponsored PPG membership, again for a 12-month period.

Known as the PPG Sponsored Membership Program, the initiative was born of the generosity and kindness of long-time professional member, Frances Dauster of Sunpaws Pet Services in Mobile, Alabama, who recently reached out to PPG and presented the idea of sponsoring a number of memberships for the next 12-month period. PPG then matched her offer with 10 free memberships for the shelter and rescue community. Read the press release.

PPG Launches Pet Rescue Resource

PPG has launched its Pet Rescue Resource, developed by PPG's Shelter and Rescue Committee. The Pet Rescue Resource is an online toolkit for shelters and rescues, and includes articles, training plans and videos designed to support staff and volunteers working with animals in shelters and foster homes. Its goal is to improve the prospects of pets in shelter or rescue by improving adoption and retention rates and is designed for implementation by handlers with or without behavior modification experience, and with the greatest possible efficiency to minimize additional work for busy staff and volunteers in under-resourced organizations. The first resource to be launched is Jumpy/Mouthy Dogs with more to be added soon. Please spread the word!

PPG Virtual Summit Recordings Available

The recordings for the PPG Virtual Summit on April 2-3, 2020, celebrating the launch of the Pet Rescue Resource, are now available. PPG Welcomes Two New Corporate Partners

PPG is delighted to welcome Canine Arthritis Management and FetchFind as new corporate partners. Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) was developed by Hannah Capon, a veterinary surgeon with wide-ranging experience of working with arthritic dogs, their owners and fellow professionals to create effective long-term management plans. CAM is committed to promoting better care of our aging canine friends and believes that, through education, the disease can be better tackled to give our dogs longer, healthier lives free from pain. CAM aims to challenge arthritis as the major cause of elective euthanasia in the UK. FetchFind, meanwhile, is committed to making pet care better, safer, and smarter. Its staff training and business solutions enable companies of all sizes to focus their resources on service, client care, and sustainable growth.
