Training Meister – Mastering Fun and Increasing Your Team Knowledge and Skills Webinar Two aims to increase the knowledge and training skills of both dog guardians and pet professionals. You will learn about the science behind the training as well as many of the skills needed to train a pet dog, with a big emphasis on enjoyment.  We firmly believe that all training should be fun but knowledge based.  We also believe in setting the learner up for success.  This applies both to our human learners and their canine buddies


Learning Objectives for Apprentice Webinar Two

  • Understand when to raise or lower criteria.
  • Learn how to effectively proof behaviors with variable body language. 
  • Learn how to use start and release cues. Develop a greater understanding of the use of a clicker and verbal marker. 
  • Understand the advantages of using a clicker as a precision tool. 
  • Learn how to optimally extend the duration of a behavior. 
  • Understand the different implications to the learner of a sit stay and a down stay. 
  • Understand how to use a clicker or verbal marker as a keep going signal to extend the duration of a behavior.
  • Learn how to teach your dog to focus on you. Understanding the importance of a default behavior. 
  • Learn how to teach a default behavior.


You will also learn the following 'tricks'/behaviors: Leave It, Stay and Watch Me and understand the application of these tricks in everyday life.

We will take a look at some of the The Science & Knowledge behind the training:  You will gain an understanding of “Push, Drop, Stick” and learn how to  effectively use this protocol to ensure minimal error learning. We will also be learning about the use of different Bridging Stimuli including Keep Going Signals and Terminal Markers.

Louise is a passionate advocate of force-free training.  She believes that everyone should know how to teach their dog using science based, rewards based, force-free training methods.
