About The Presenter



Michele Pouliot, Director of Research and Development at Guide Dogs for the Blind. Michele has been a guide dog mobility instructor for over 40 years, yet her original focus was on horses before discovering the guide dog field. Michele studied under Linda Tellington-Jones for 2 years and began a career as a trainer in the equestrian field.

Michele is recognized internationally for her innovation and creative development in guide dog training and service to blind clients. GDB actively assists other guide dog schools around the world in their efforts to adopt positive training methods. Since 2006, Michele has directly assisted more than 30 guide dog schools (internationally and within the USA) in changing their programs to positive reinforcement and clicker training methods. 

In 2008, Karen Pryor invited Michele to join the prestigious faculty of Karen Pryor’s annual Clicker Expo Conferences. Michele continues to teach each year at 2 Clicker Expos in the USA and one annual Clicker Expo Europe.
